Tammy Notehelfer

 

Tammy Notehelfer provides her expertise as a Gifted Education Consultant to district level administrators and school site principals around the country. She listens carefully and custom designs programs that meet the needs of the students in that district. Her professional development offerings build on the teachers’ strengths and target perceived weaknesses by administrative personnel. Her training extends to the students themselves as instructional strategies learned in the seminars are modeled for classroom teachers who can mentor others.

Karen Brown 

 

Karen Brown is the Gifted Program Mentor for Paradise Valley Unified School District. She has taught and facilitated gifted education courses at ASU since 2010.

Additionally, Mrs. Brown consults with districts throughout the country on Curriculum Mapping, Common Core Implementation, Curriculum Implementation, and Differentiation Strategies. She has presented at Arizona Association of Gifted and Talented (AAGT) and The National Association for Gifted Students (NAGT). ​Dina Brulles, Ph.D., is the Director of Gifted Education at Paradise Valley Unified School District where she has developed a continuum of gifted education programs, preschool through high school.  The programs and services Dina oversees incorporate innovative uses of technology, enfranchise underrepresented populations and provide extensive professional development opportunities. She is also the Graduate Gifted Program Coordinator at Arizona State University.


Dina was elected to the National Association for Gifted Children (NAGC) Board of Directors in 2014 as the school district representative and is also a member of the NAGC Convention Committee. Keep reading...

Janice Mak

 

Janice received her Bachelor of Arts from Rutgers University in Linguistics with emphases in Russian and Economics and her Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from George Mason University. She is currently working on her Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction, STEM education at Texas Tech University.  Possessing endorsements as a K-12 gifted specialist and K-12 reading specialist, she has extensive experience working with gifted students in a variety of settings and mentoring teachers of gifted students.

Living and working abroad in Moscow, Russia in an International Baccalaureate school as well as in the Glendale Elementary and Paradise Valley Unified School Districts has given her a global perspective to education. ​  Keep reading...
